I thank my lucky stars everyday for being able to be a part of such a forward-thinking and innovative organization. ReachLocal isn’t just a job for me, it’s a passion. Since the day I started with ReachLocal almost two years ago, I have not only grown as an individual, but have built a foundation for the rest of my career. The training, technology, innovation and approach this organization has is like no other and is what makes ReachLocal a leader in the online space.

I came from a background of media planning and print sales, where I was never able to show my clients the return they were getting for their advertising. It was a struggle asking them to purchase something that I had no validity of giving them a return on investment for what they were spending. With ReachLocal, I am able to confidently discuss with anyone that ReachLocal truly is the best online advertising solution for local businesses and is an end-to-end provider of the most trackable, effective online media available. There is nothing better than being able to show a small business what kind of success their online dollars are generating for them and there is no bigger satisfaction than watching your clients’ businesses grow because of the solutions you were able to bring them.

Not only does ReachLocal offer the best online solutions for local as well as national businesses, but the culture created here is more of that like a family, instead of just co-workers. I know that I can openly call any other IMC, RSM or Area Director within this organization and they will immediately lend a helping hand. That is very appreciative in a world where it is tough to have camaraderie and support from your fellow employees. Teamwork, support and encouragement are what this culture is made of and it really allows you to feel embraced and appreciated by your company.

When I hear all of my friends complaining about their jobs and how unhappy they are, all I can do is smile because my job, my passion, is everything I have ever wanted in my career and I couldn’t ask for anything more. I know that I will be a part of this organization in 5, 10 and even 20 years down the road and am excited for what the future holds. Knowing that you work for the best company with the best products and the best clients is rare and something that I thank those lucky stars for everyday. (2009)
