ReachLocal is an online marketing firm, right? Well, if all goes according to plan it will be more than that—the company is aiming to be an online search and payment platform for a handful of local services in cities all over the country.

 

You might also be interested in a suite of services offered by ReachLocal, which has been focused on online marketing tools for small and midsize businesses (SMBs) for more than a decade. The company is launching three new offerings.

I met with ReachLocal CEO Zorik Gordon a few days ago and he gave me a tour of the company’s new product suite. Most interesting were “ReachCommerce” and a related, new consumer service ClubLocal.
ReachLocal (www.reachlocal.com) was born in the age of Internet search marketing, and helped define Internet marketing from local service providers--letting people know about your local business via the Internet.
Few companies have a better vantage point from which to judge the lack of technical sophistication of local merchants than ReachLocal. Similarly, few are better positioned to reimagine the way consumers interface with these service providers.
Zorik Gordon, CEO of ReachLocal, says the company's spike in Q4 and 2012 revenue will set the stage for earnings growth in 2013 and beyond.
