ReachLocal has closed a $52M late stage round. The Woodland Hill, CA-based company targets local businesses (as well as those people who serve local businesses) to reach potential customers online. Provides search engine marketing as well as other online marketing services to small businesses.lays claim to being the #1 Internet advertising company in the world for local search marketing (we would have thought that publicly-traded Local.com is larger but its hard to compare with ReachLocal is private)

 

ReachLocal is already a global company with 14 offices in the US, 3 in Australia, 1 in Europe and others on the radar going into 2008. ReachLocal's business plan calls for a lot of investment because it hires and trains salespeople to pound the pavement and sign up local businesses to give them a net marketing presence.
