Online marketing firm ReachLocal Inc. will participate in the testing of a new Facebook site offering discount deals from businesses.
In addition to offering its own deals, Facebook will let users get discount offers from partner services, including ReachLocal, Gilt City, Tippr, HomeRun.com, PopSugar City, KGB Deals, Plum District and Zozi.
Partner offers from ReachLocal, Gilt City, Tippr, HomeRun.com, PopSugar City, KGB Deals, Plum District and Zozi will also be shown.
Bizzy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ReachLocal, tries to be just different enough from the Yelps, Google Hotpots, or Foursquares of the world with its own twist on local business discovery. The service relaunched in November 2010 to focus on recommending places of potential interest to users by matching their personal tastes against others with similar tastes.
For now, Bizzy is focused on creating a consumer product and will figure out how to monetize it later, but the tie-ins to ReachLocal’s audience is fairly obvious. Last month, ReachLocal acquired DealOn Media, a daily deals site for $10 million. Eventually, those deals could show up as sponsored links within the recommendations results on the Bizzy application.
Groupon isn't the only daily deal service to address B2B marketers. ReachLocal's acquisition of DealOn gives the company a white-lable offering for publishers. Earlier this week ReachLocal's DealOn released information on a partnership with NimbleCommerce. The agreement gives NimbleCommerce's more than 50 local and national publisher clients the ability to source from DealOn's deal offers in nearly 20 U.S. markets through the company's two-way group-buying exchange, OfferEx.

To get some perspective into ReachLocal's entry into the daily deals space and where it sees the acquisition fitting, we spoke with Zorik Gordon, CEO of the company.
Given that Bizzy’s app is all about local search and recommendations, its mobile app success isn’t too far-fetched. But it is also an indicator that Bizzy is moving in the right direction, as consumers are able to make good use of Bizzy’s app at the right place and time.
