Automotive Industry Veteran to Head ReachLocal’s Internet Advertising Specialty Department that Caters Specifically to Local Dealerships and Manufacturers

(http://www.reachlocal.com), a global leader in local online marketing, announced today that automotive industry veteran Shaun Raines has joined the company as Director of ReachLocal Auto, a vertical specialty department of ReachLocal. As a thought leader in digital marketing for the automobile industry, Raines’s mission is to continue growing ReachLocal’s services to the auto industry and assume responsibility for guiding the auto channel Internet Marketing Consultants (IMCs). He will also work with current and future advertisers and industry partners delivering tailored solutions to auto dealerships and the auto industry as a whole.

During his 17-year career in the automotive industry, Raines has been at the forefront of digital marketing innovation, playing an integral role in operational efforts for Microsoft’s Carpoint.com (now MSN Auto); CarsDirect’s Connect; Yahoo! Autos; and Reynolds and Reynolds’ Automark. In 2007, Raines founded his consulting business, Dealer Advisor, LLC, where he worked with national car companies such as Subaru, consulting at both local dealerships and regional events. An industry authority, Raines is regularly tapped to speak at events such as the Digital Dealer Conference & Exposition and lends his expertise at OEM dealer meetings. He is a frequent contributor to industry blogs and print publications including DealerRefresh and Ai-Dealer.
