Inc. 500 Ranks ReachLocal Using Its 3,217 Percent, Three-Year Growth Rate Beginning in 2005. Company has Grown over 146,000 Percent Since Its 2004 Founding Year
(WOODLAND HILLS, Calif.) - August 12, 2009 - ReachLocal Inc. (http://www.reachlocal.com), a global leader in local online marketing, announced today that it has been ranked the 39th fastest-growing private company in America on Inc. magazine's prestigious 2009 Inc. 500 list.
The nearly $147 million in 2008 revenue put ReachLocal's growth from 2005 at 3,217 percent. Of the companies on Inc. 500 that were founded in 2004, ReachLocal had the third highest revenue. ReachLocal has experienced over 146,000 percent revenue growth since its 2004 founding year.

The 2009 Inc. 500 measures revenue growth from 2005 through 2008. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by the first week of 2005, and therefore able to show four full calendar years of sales. Additionally, they had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent-not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies-as of December 31, 2008. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2005 is $200,000; the minimum for 2008 is $2 million.
